In order to reset your ASUS Chromestick for SmartBoard remote access, you will need to plug in a USB keyboard and you may also need to have a USB mouse handy. If you are using a Bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad that had been previously paired to the device, it should still function.

Step 1

Begin at Chromebit login screen, as shown in the photo. If you are not showing this login screen, see optional instructions at the end of this document.

Enter swsmartboards@gmail.com as the email address for the user. Tab to “Next” and hit enter or use the mouse to click this button.

Step 2

On the next screen, enter smartboard2021 for the password. Again, tab to “Next” and hit enter or use the mouse to click this button.

Step 3

When the “Meet your Google Assistant” screen appears, tab to “No thanks” and hit enter or use the mouse to click this button.

Step 4

When the “Welcome…” screen appears that says “Howdy, StreetWise”, simply click the “X” to exit this screen. Click the small round icon at the lower left of the screen to open the “Launcher”

Now click on the small green icon called “Kiosk” directly under the Google search bar.

Step 5

At the top of the next screen, you’ll have a space to enter your Device Label and a Pairing Token. In the space allotted for your Device Label, please enter your fire department name followed by the station name or number this device is assigned to. Please follow that format for all devices, since this is how we will see this device in our Remote Management portal.

In the space for the “Pairing Token”, enter the following exactly as shown here: 13R8XCs3oARI6YUZ8sOc

After entering the Device Label and Pairing Token (and double checking it), click on “Pair Device”.

Step 6

After clicking “Pair Device”, the screen will return to the desktop. Repeat the actions from Step 4, click the launcher icon and then click on the “Kiosk” app icon. This time, the action will now put the device into kiosk mode and automatically open the StreetWise SmartBoard login screen.

Log in to StreetWise using the appropriate User ID and Password for that station as provided by StreetWise for the original stick. These have NOT changed. If you need this information, contact support@streetwisecadlink.com or open a support ticket from our support portal.

The pairing of the device to our new remote management network should not need to be repeated. If the device loses power and does not return to operation by itself when power returns, use the “Launcher” icon at the bottom of the screen and click the “Kiosk” app icon. Again, the device will go into kiosk mode and bring up the SmartBoard login screen.
